Terms of Service

Last updated: October 12, 2026 · Throwline is a service of Marcum Holding Group LLC.

1. The agreement

These terms are a contract between Marcum Holding Group LLC ("Throwline," "we," "us") and the business that creates a Throwline account ("you"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Throwline is built for businesses; it is not a consumer service.

2. What Throwline does

Throwline is an AI receptionist for home services businesses. It answers calls you can't take, texts back missed callers, holds SMS conversations with your customers, flags likely emergencies, and helps you book jobs — including placing booked jobs on a calendar you connect. The AI acts on your behalf and in your business's name, under your configuration.

3. Your account

Keep your login credentials secure and your business information (name, trade, phone numbers, time zone) accurate — the AI uses it when talking to your customers. You are responsible for activity under your account.

4. Your customers and consent

Throwline contacts people only in response to their contact with your business (a call or a text to your number). You are responsible for using the service lawfully with your customers, including telephone and text-messaging rules that apply to your business. Opt-outs are honored: recipients can reply STOP at any time, as described in our SMS Terms. Calls handled by the AI may be recorded and transcribed so you can review them; you are responsible for any notice or consent your state requires for call recording.

5. AI-generated conversations

The AI is good, not perfect. It can misunderstand a caller, misjudge urgency, or state something inaccurate. Review your inbox, confirm details before relying on them, and use your own judgment on anything safety-critical. Throwline is not an emergency service and is no substitute for 911.

6. Connected services

You can connect third-party services such as Google Calendar. If you connect a calendar, Throwline adds events for jobs you book and reads your calendar list and availability; it does not modify or delete anything else on your calendar. You can disconnect at any time in Settings, which stops all further access. Your use of connected services remains governed by their own terms.

7. Fees

Paid plans are billed monthly at the prices shown on our site, plus any stated usage charges (for example, voice minutes beyond your plan's included amount). Pilot or trial arrangements are as agreed with you in writing. We'll give reasonable notice before price changes take effect. You can cancel anytime; your plan runs through the end of the current billing period.

8. Acceptable use

Don't use Throwline to break the law, to send unsolicited marketing, to harass anyone, to misrepresent who you are, or to probe or disrupt the service. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do.

9. Your data

How we collect and handle information — yours and your customers' — is described in our Privacy Policy. Conversation data (calls, recordings, transcripts, texts, bookings) belongs to your business; we use it to run the service for you.

10. Disclaimers and limits on liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Phone networks, carriers, and third-party providers can fail in ways outside our control, and we do not guarantee that every call or text will be caught, delivered, or handled correctly. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Marcum Holding Group LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including lost jobs, revenue, or profits — and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

11. Changes and termination

We may update these terms as the service evolves; material changes will be posted here with an updated date, and continued use means acceptance. You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end service for breach of these terms, with notice where practical.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
