What we collect

Throwline answers calls and text messages on behalf of the small businesses that use our service. When you call or text a business powered by Throwline, we collect your phone number, the contents of your messages, call recordings and transcripts, and any details you share so the business can serve you (such as your address or the service you're requesting).

How we use it

Your information is used for one purpose: helping the business you contacted respond to you, schedule your service, and follow up on your request. We also use aggregate, de-identified usage data to improve the service.

Text messaging and your consent

We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, excluding vendors acting solely on our behalf to deliver the service (such as our messaging provider). Message frequency varies based on your conversation; message and data rates may apply.

You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, or get assistance by replying HELP. See our SMS Terms & Conditions for details.

Sharing

We share your information only with the business you contacted and with the service providers we use to operate Throwline (telephony, hosting, and AI processing vendors), each bound to use it only to deliver the service. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Google Calendar data

Businesses using Throwline can connect their own Google Calendar so that jobs they book in Throwline appear on their calendar. If you connect your Google account, Throwline accesses: your list of calendars (to let you choose which calendar receives bookings) and your calendar events (to add booked jobs as events). We only create events for jobs booked through Throwline — we do not read, change, or delete anything else on your calendar.

Google account credentials are stored encrypted and used solely to provide this feature. Google Calendar data is never sold, never shared with third parties, never used for advertising, and never used to train AI or machine-learning models. You can disconnect your calendar at any time in Settings, which ends all access, or revoke access from your Google account security settings.

Throwline's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Retention and security

Conversation records are retained for as long as the business you contacted needs them to serve you, and are protected with industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. You may request deletion of your information by contacting us.
